Mini Polenta Pizzas

By on October 28, 2014

I know, I know, I have been MIA for a few days now, I do apologize.  I missed you guys, and I meant to blog every day, like EVERY SINGLE DAY and life happens.  Kids are sick, work is crazy, tweeting evening while watching Pressure Cooker, falling asleep on Lightroom, falling asleep at 9.30pm on a Friday night.  I am such a party animal :)!

What do you want to hear about first?  My simple and yummy gluten-free mini pizza or my crazy fun experience on the show Pressure Cooker?

If you follow me on Instagram, you probably saw those pictures (and if you don’t, follow me, it’ll be fun!) and if you follow me on Twitter you might have seen my tweets from last Tuesday when it aired.

What is the show about?  Pressure Cooker is a cooking competition for home cooks.  Grab 5 ingredients in your fridge and make a meal for your family.  It sounds easy, challenging and fun and it is! Well, drop the”easy” part.  Gosh, it was super stressful.  Whomever came up with the name for the show nailed it!
So there, you grad the ingredients on the conveyor belt and you run to your station to cook away for 30 minutes.   Along the way, a celebrity chef coaches you, and for me it was Duff Goldman.  His role is to help you to create a dish that will impress the intimidating food critic, Giles Coren.

The 5 in 1 salty cake

By on August 25, 2014

Hi there!

I am here!  I am back!  So sorry for this little unannounced blog-vacations, it was not how I planned it.
In the last 2 weeks, I had so much going on.  Mainly, some of my French family visiting here for 2 weeks.  I took a few days off and I really thought that among other things and daily life, I would keep the blog alive.  Well, well, well, I was fooling myself!

French clichés and French crêpes!

By on April 7, 2014

How about a little list?

1 – I do have a French accent and it is cute!  I am proud of it!
2 – I love stinky cheese, specially an old runny camembert.
3 – I like to complain, it is just part of my day, I know it is bad, I am working on it though!

Alright, I will stop here actually, because I know that French people have some unflattering clichés too…  Strikes, no shaving (!!), smelling bad (now come on, who spread those things?)  Ahah, this is quite funny!

I do love the clichés that makes me a Chef because I am French, oh la la!  I definitely have a je-ne-sais-quoi!  So for now, I will share my French crêpes recipe with you:

Don’t judge a book by its cover because those Croque-Monsieurs are delicious!

By on January 30, 2014

There are some food that, even if there are tasty, it is hard to make them look appetizing…   The Croque-Monsieur that follow is not the most appealing one.  Plus, my picture is not recent, I would have done it differently maybe but still… not that good looking.  I am working on it!  Certain meals or dessert are sometimes difficult to take a picture of but it is my role to make you want to try them.  One that one, I hope you will give those Croque-Monsieur a try, sooo worth it!

Now that you know how to do a bechamel, it is going to be an easy and quick recipe!  And, since it is Superbowl season and finger are trendy, you HAVE to give it a chance.
