Mini Polenta Pizzas

By on October 28, 2014

I know, I know, I have been MIA for a few days now, I do apologize.  I missed you guys, and I meant to blog every day, like EVERY SINGLE DAY and life happens.  Kids are sick, work is crazy, tweeting evening while watching Pressure Cooker, falling asleep on Lightroom, falling asleep at 9.30pm on a Friday night.  I am such a party animal :)!

What do you want to hear about first?  My simple and yummy gluten-free mini pizza or my crazy fun experience on the show Pressure Cooker?

If you follow me on Instagram, you probably saw those pictures (and if you don’t, follow me, it’ll be fun!) and if you follow me on Twitter you might have seen my tweets from last Tuesday when it aired.

What is the show about?  Pressure Cooker is a cooking competition for home cooks.  Grab 5 ingredients in your fridge and make a meal for your family.  It sounds easy, challenging and fun and it is! Well, drop the”easy” part.  Gosh, it was super stressful.  Whomever came up with the name for the show nailed it!
So there, you grad the ingredients on the conveyor belt and you run to your station to cook away for 30 minutes.   Along the way, a celebrity chef coaches you, and for me it was Duff Goldman.  His role is to help you to create a dish that will impress the intimidating food critic, Giles Coren.

By on July 30, 2014

Do you smell the vacations?   Do you feel the sun?  Right, I don’t that much either… Toronto is having a weird summer.  How is yours?

Today, we are doing this a little different on Bon Appét’Eat.  I invited a friend to the blog, she is not a blogger, she used to be though, in French.

How did we meet?  Who is she?  What did she cook for you?  Have a seat, prepare one of her Margaritas and enjoy the reading!  You will love Noelle!

Margaritas

”Hey hi!

The blog post: This so amazing to be back on the culinary web world thanks Mel!  A few weeks ago I was complaining about having no time for creating my own blog while I would love to do it again and Melanie came to me with this crazy idea of writing on her blog just as a guest.  I was super excited and … then, no idea … I mean no new idea, white page, white screen… Oh my god! My brain went blank and I completely freaked out thinking OK look like my creativity had disappear!  This made me even more amazed by what Melanie is capable to do with her blog!  (Thanks Noelle :))

7 simple steps to a Caprese pizza

By on June 14, 2014

7 steps!  It is that simple to get a soft dough, bubbly boccocini cheese and the flavorful pesto!  Oh and did I mention that bubbly cheese?  All melting and it will make a string of cheese from the pizza to your mouth!

Gosh, I got myself convinced!  I will do some more tomorrow!  Too good to be ignored!

Also, I made mini pizza because it is easier for the kids, each their own.  But you can make 2 big ones with that recipe.  Or still make small ones as an appetizer.  Yes, I will do that tomorrow.

Don’t judge a book by its cover because those Croque-Monsieurs are delicious!

By on January 30, 2014

There are some food that, even if there are tasty, it is hard to make them look appetizing…   The Croque-Monsieur that follow is not the most appealing one.  Plus, my picture is not recent, I would have done it differently maybe but still… not that good looking.  I am working on it!  Certain meals or dessert are sometimes difficult to take a picture of but it is my role to make you want to try them.  One that one, I hope you will give those Croque-Monsieur a try, sooo worth it!

Now that you know how to do a bechamel, it is going to be an easy and quick recipe!  And, since it is Superbowl season and finger are trendy, you HAVE to give it a chance.
