My husband, el Cubano, is generally the one picking up the kids at the day care. It give me 45 minutes to an hour to get started with dinner. And by the way, it is just insane what you can accomplished in 45 minutes without the children in the house. You would never know until you become a mom.

My apron on, fully inspired for a nice dinner for my family, I chopped some garlic, parsley, some olive oil and salt, here is a nice marinade to leave my chicken in. I wished I had lemon.
As I was starting to crush the pecans, everybody arrived home. And here comes the disappointed little man: Maman, what are you doing? Cooking? Without me?
That is it. As this point, when you 3-year-old little boy wants to put his small apron on to help you cook dinner, you know that he will most likely make healthier choices in the kitchen.
And this is what Food Revolution Day will be on May 16th. Get your children involved in the kitchen, show him/her to cook from scratch, give them little tasks to participate in the preparation of dinner or snacks.
On May 16th, for the 3rd year, the Food Revolution Day campaign will be held. It is a world-wide movement to encourage kids, family, everybody in school, organization, everywhere to eat healthy and cook from scratch.
As a mother myself, I totally agree with the message that Jamie Oliver is trying to spread. It is our duty, as parent, to teach the basics to our kids: how fruits and vegetables grow and understanding nature, learn how to cook and bake and enjoying healthy meals and snacks.

As I was telling you, we indulged a lot during our vacations. When you come back from a holiday break, your body is totally off and so is your appetite. At least for me. I am hungry earlier and my stomach is calling for more food!

I just told you about popped quinoa, it is such a perfect find! I make a little jar to always have some, I added some in my yogurt, salads and now those bites. You HAVE to try it!
Hello you all! I am back! And yes, I am back all fresh from vacations with nice resolutions.
The reality is that we spent a wonderful week in beautiful St Martin island and we spent the week eating and drinking more than we usually do. You know what that means… Back to reality and the scale sets the tone!
